FOLLY BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA
For information on this beautiful place, go to: http://follybeach.com You can also read about the turbulent and violent history of Folly Beach from shipwrecks to Civil War battles. I'm surprised that more hauntings aren't reported here because of the island's history. I've visited this beach on vacations since I was a child, but hadn't been in years when Homer and I went for vacation in April of 2008. We were lucky to find a lovely, rather isolated rental next to the ever-changing marsh. Click on each image to see full size. We began each day watching the sun rise. We could see the Morris Island Lighthouse easily from our dock. And watch the birds search for food.
One of the first days we were there, a big storm blew in bringing cooler temps. We could sit and watch the marsh waters moving in and out. Another day ends with beauty.
