SHADOWS
I'm living in paradise
with ghosts
inside my head.
Darkness in the light
is my nagging companion.
I hold peter's shadow
jealously guarding it
while my spirit
drags the ground.
I must cut away
the night thoughts,
exorcise the anger,
release the fear,
and meet the darkness
face to face.
But what if i discover
it was me
all along
and should not
be destroyed
but embraced?
